TRAINING/CERTIFICATION PROGRAMS PROVIDED
Arizona Certified Landscape Professional (ACLP) is an educational and certification program for those aspiring to be professional landscapers. Each year ALCA schedules a series of half day workshops covering ten topics designed for interaction and hands-on learning.
ALCA Certified Irrigation Technician (ACIT) – Consists of a 3 day training including hands-on activities focused on the optimization of water usage and the efficiency of existing irrigation systems.
Sustainable Landscape Management (SLM) – Certified individuals are posted on ALCA’s website and promoted to Community Management Companies and HOA Boards.
PMD Pre-Certification Training provides in-depth review of study materials to prepare individuals to become a certified applicator in Right-of-Way and Ornament & Turf categories.
OSHA 10 Training is designed to recognize and avoid potential hazards in the workplace, understand required safety reporting and review safety tips on fall prevention, tool safety, materials handling, & PPE
Sustainable Business Practices are provided by offering multiple training opportunities for owners, account managers, human resource employees and landscape operations to help run your businesses effectively.

Excellence In Landscaping Awards Program – Contractors are honored for their beautiful award winning landscape projects. Award recipients use their awards to market to existing and potential clients.
ALCA Influence Magazine keeps members up-to-date on the latest industry news, legislation, benefits, educational opportunities, member meetings & fun events. It is distributed to Arizona licensed landscape contractors….nearly 1,500 businesses.
Trade Show – ALCA vendors display their products and services while contractors meet and learn how to improve their businesses, keep current on innovative industry ideas and are not outpaced by their competitors.
Member Mixers - Held the 3rd Wednesday of the month, Member Mixers provide peer to peer networking in a casual atmosphere. Round table discussions are held prior to the mixers to discuss pertinent and timely issues facing landscape contractors and the industry. Each month the Mixer is hosted by a different member company and provides an opportunity to keep up with industry happenings and connect with fellow members while enjoying a buffet of food.
Directory and Resource Guide is published annually giving members an up-to-date listing of members and a quick reference for identification and work and services they perform.

ALCA Retirement Plan Benefit – ALCA has established a 401(k) multiple employer plan proving significant savings on administration and compliance costs and an open investment platform. Class share means lower fees and better overall investment return for members and their employees.
Scholarship Program is available for those who wish to establish or build their careers in the green industry or for ALCA members and their immediate families.
Golf Tournament is held annually in memory of Sky Blu Underwood in which the proceeds go to the scholarship fund.
